Game Premise
The game is set in 878 AD when Alfred the Great, the English king, has managed a heroic defense in the Edington battle, blunting the Viking invasion in the process. The Norse warlords are deflated but not completely out, and have somehow settled across Britain. The land, in almost 80 years, is experiencing tranquility like never before. Throughout this isle, you would be put up with treaties, war and fortune turns that go on to become legendary stuff. This saga basically charts the emergence of the greatest nations in history. The game has 10 playable factions that belong to Anglo Saxons, Welsh, Gaels, Viking Sea Kings and Viking settlers.
Gameplay
The game is a complete war game on its own that would task you with rewriting a critical historic moment, which would define modern Britain’s future. With 10 playable dissenting groups, you should create and safeguard a kingdom to the Anglo-Saxons, Welsh tribes, Gaelic clans or Viking settlers’ glory. You would be forging alliances, managing mushrooming settlements, raising armies and embarking on conquest campaigns. The conquest victories are quite straightforward and challenge you to grab some number of provinces. However, you could also build famous landmarks and claim a fame victory, leveling up your governors and generals in the process.
